Chevrolet dropped the all-new 2019 Silverado, literally from a helicopter, during an event celebrating the brand’s 100th anniversary of building trucks at the Texas Motor Speedway.
Shown here is the new Silverado Z71 Trail Boss model, showing the entirely new face that is a dramatic departure from the truck’s current look and feel. This new Trail Boss model will sport a two-inch lift straight from the factory, and you can expect the suspension to be heavily revised as well.
Many of the design changes were made to improve aerodynamics, while Chevy says we can expect new powertrains to be included with the new Silverado. A version of the 10-speed automatic found in the Ford F-150, which was jointly developed by GM and Ford, is one of the likely additions to the truck.
No more detailed information is known about the truck at this point, so for now, enjoy the photos. We’ll update this post with more information as it becomes available.
